Great post! I think its difficult to be the first one in an organization to try and evangelize to the rest. It's even more difficult if you're young (many of use Web 2.0 users are) and lower on the rungs. Good luck!

Hi Ed,

Thanks for stopping by. I definitely agree and Im curious to see how social media can play a roll in a not-for-profit industry. I predict that these types of industries might benefit MORE than for profit. Keep me updated!

Great thoughts Chris. I am strategizing on how to implement this in a not-for-profit industry--we've stood up a corporate university for a Naval command.

So I'm looking to champion Ent 2.0 with blogging at a minimum to enhance employee retention for sustainment and recruitment. Authentic communication is so vital for as you say, it is "relationship marketing and relationships build trust." Trust is fundamental to *respect* thriving within an organization and to true diversity.

Really, since it's gotta be real inside an org before we can really market a product or idea outside an org, I'm seeing it as a practical vehicle to the implementation of Peter Senge's 5 Disciplines of a learning organization.

I'm appreciating your thoughts and lessons learned Chris and thankful for Jeremiah's shout out to you. Been reading his thoughts as well.

Well, carpe diem!

There are great points Chris.

Also let management know that the process will have some gray area, where you'll never really know the outcome so flexibility is needed.

It's kind of like the real world!
